On October 10, 2021, in the picturesque natural setting at the foot of Pietra Parcellara in the municipality of Travo (Piacenza), a place nestled in the Trebbia Valley in the Emilian Apennines, in the presence of the mayor and accompanied by Organico Perduca, we presented our design concept for the lighting of the entire Pietra Perduca and its open-air amphitheater, the culmination of the new land art trail, to the local community.

The request was commissioned by Organico Perduca, a local organization in the municipality of Travo, which aims to bring renewed excitement to the entire valley through culture.
The current project aims to create an art-nature trail, which among other things also includes an open-air auditorium, a stage for theatrical/musical/artistic performances.
The sacredness of Pietra Perduca guided the lighting set design that ‘lights up’ the sacred fire stone.
A ‘light that excites’ thus ignites the sacred fire, which burns through the darkness, guides art, warms observers, and at the same time becomes the centerpiece of the valley, which is transformed into a macro-scale amphitheater gathered around the hearth.
A “light that engages” illuminates the luminous backdrop of the permanent open-air theater.
A “light that communicates” announces the appeal of the event, visible from great distances.
